The Master Labs: "Like us, Dripl makes companies better"
"The Master Labs are betters" - that's how Kontich-based IT services and consulting company The Master Labs likes to describe itself. "We believe that our people really only perform best when they feel good in the environment where they work," says Katrien Roziers, HR Lead at The Master Labs. "Dripl is undoubtedly one of the elements that contributes to that."
The Master Labs team moved into their new workplace in Kontich in the spring of 2021. Katrien: "We traded an old, classic office complex for a modern, renovated and adapted townhouse in the city center. We felt it was very important to make it a sustainable and fun workplace."
Attention to the environment? Of course!
In The Master Labs' new office, there is a lot of attention to sustainability. Katrien: "The building is equipped with a heat pump and is much better insulated than the previous building. It is therefore much more energy efficient." The IT company also chose the central location for a reason according to Katrien: "This allows colleagues to leave the car aside a bit more often and use more sustainable means of transportation for their commute. We now offer bicycle leasing for this purpose, for example. A nice number of colleagues are already using it today."
Furthermore, The Master Labs also wanted to do its part to reduce plastic waste. Katrien: "It is sometimes confronting how much waste you produce in a day. We wanted to do something about that as a company. We already encouraged our employees to drink more water and had given them a refillable water bottle for that purpose.
During our search for even more ways to encourage a sustainable office, we discovered Dripl. After a positive tasting session with the Tasting Box, we decided to say goodbye to the soda in our refrigerator and install one of their Refill Points here in the office. And we don't regret that for a moment! Through the vending machine, we now have not only a sustainable but also a healthy alternative."
Thanks to Dripl in the office, employees drink more and our office manager has less drudgery.
"Brings people together"
In addition to sustainability, The Master Labs puts connectedness at the heart of its new office. Katrien: "Our colleagues work alternately at clients' premises, at home and at the office. This entails the risk of losing touch with others as an employee - something we definitely want to avoid. For example, we organize monthly sessions in which we share knowledge with each other. As a company, we provide lunch and a snack and drink beforehand. We also try to ensure that the office is a pleasant place where everyone feels at home and it is fun to work. Dripl also plays into that. It's nice to see colleagues actually having a chat at the Refill Point!"
How did Katrien handle the introduction of Dripl?
Before a Refill Point was shining at The Master Labs, employees of the company could take soda from the refrigerator for free. Katrien: "We launched a survey internally to gauge who would be against replacing the soda with Dripl's healthier alternative. At the same time, we ordered the Tasting Box and let employees taste it.
The results spoke for themselves: of the 32 employees, only 1 wanted the soft drink to stay, the rest were definitely open to bringing Dripl into the house. Meanwhile, we've been tapping Dripl Drinks for quite some time now and we even totally convinced that one soda fan!"
Tip: Once the Refill Point was installed, Katrien also provided a fun announcement and the necessary information on exactly how to tap a drink. Good communication can definitely help get your employees hooked on the Refill Point as well.
