Jo Jacobs, office manager at HubSpot, shares in an interview how the company embraces personal growth and mental well-being as essential pillars of their corporate culture and how this contributes to their employees' success and engagement.

Monthly themes & talks

HubSpot is all about personal growth and development. Each month is dedicated to a different theme. Whether it's discussing mental health, celebrating Pride Month or promoting ecological awareness, there's always something going on at HubSpot. Through inspiring workshops, also called HubTalks , and other educational events and community involvement, HubSpot fosters a culture of continuous growth and learning. Employees are encouraged to actively participate in these initiatives, creating a sense of belonging and community.

Democracy in the workplace

An essential aspect of corporate culture at HubSpot is employee involvement in decision-making and activities. The party committee is a perfect example of this, where employees are actively involved in shaping the office culture. This results in a sense of ownership and belonging among employees. From coming up with names for meeting rooms to organizing team-building activities, employees are encouraged to actively contribute to the office culture. This sense of ownership and commitment strengthens the bond between employees and the company, creating a positive and supportive work environment.

Effort and commitment should be rewarded

HubSpot recognizes and rewards the commitment of its employees by offering a wide range of benefits and perks. From monthly massages to book subscriptions and online tools for mental wellness, employees are encouraged to find a healthy work-life balance. By investing in employee well-being and satisfaction, HubSpot strives to create an environment where employees feel valued and motivated.

A customized workplace

Creating a flexible work environment is a priority for HubSpot. Whether employees work remotely, work flexibly or are in the office, everyone is encouraged to choose the work environment that best suits them. This flexibility and freedom allows employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance and optimize their productivity. By listening to employee needs and preferences, HubSpot strives to create a work environment where everyone feels valued and supported.

A magnet for talent?

But how does this actually affect how people view HubSpot as a potential employer? Jo Jacobs, office manager at HubSpot, shares that HubTalks and other benefits definitely play a role in attracting new talent. By taking a look at the comments and photos shared at these events, potential employees get a glimpse of the vibrant and supportive culture at HubSpot.
