Meet Toyota Material Handling

  • Sector: transportation & logistics
  • Number of employees: 250+
  • Locations: Headquarters Willebroek, Belgium
  • Mission: Shaping the future of material handling with sustainable solutions.

As a leader in forklifts and lift trucks, Toyota Material Handling wanted to make their workplace not only more efficient, but also more sustainable. In August 2023, they installed their first Dripl Refill Point as part of their mission to integrate health and sustainability in the office.

Challenge: Sustainability in the workplace

According to Olivier Carlier, HR Manager at Toyota Material Handling, the switch was obvious:

"We want to support our employees with healthier choices, but also reduce our carbon footprint. Dripl immediately brought us one step closer to those goals."

Toyota wanted:

  • Sustainability: Moving to a waste-free workplace.
  • Health: Replacing traditional soft drinks with better alternatives.
  • Employer branding: Creating an attractive workplace for both current and future employees.

The solution: Dripl Refill Points

Dripl offered a solution tailored to Toyota's goals, supported by a structured onboarding process.

Pre-onboarding: laying a solid foundation

Dripl's introduction began even before installation with:

  1. Informational emails: explaining Dripl and its benefits to employees and the environment.
  2. Posters and screen communications: Announcements that aroused curiosity.
  3. Teaminput: Employees were given a say in flavor selection and launch.

Because by involving everyone, you create support from day one.

Launch Day with healthy energy

The launch of the Dripl Refill Point was a success thanks to:

  • Tastings: Tastings to introduce employees to flavors.
  • Mocktail Workshops: A creative twist to make healthier drinking appealing.
  • Enthusiastic communication: Active ambassadors provided a personal touch.

Measurable impact 👇

  • Packaging avoided: 16,746
  • CO₂ emissions saved: 204 kg CO₂e
  • Favorite flavor: Lemon, flat
